TextCortex is a leading European Generative AI platform helping organizations transform scattered knowledge into actionable intelligence. By enabling companies to build and deploy highly customized AI Agents, TextCortex addresses one of the most common and costly challenges in modern enterprises: inaccessible and siloed information.
Whether it’s a global manufacturer or a high-growth tech company, organizations trust TextCortex to centralize internal knowledge, automate workflows, and deliver instant, context-aware answers to their teams. With a no-code editor, seamless integrations, and support for multiple language models, TextCortex empowers customers to build AI Agents tailored to their unique data, workflows, and security requirements - all within minutes.
Founded in 2021 and recognized by Gartner, G2, and Capterra as a category leader, TextCortex is built on European values of transparency, flexibility, and privacy. The platform is fully GDPR and SOC2 compliant, operates with no vendor lock-in, and integrates with over 30,000 enterprise applications.
TextCortex’s scale and broad feature set translate into strict requirements for their infrastructure, both from the perspective of performance and cost efficiency. As a startup, they needed a solution that would allow them to scale rapidly while keeping the operational overhead low. Cloudfleet’s managed Kubernetes platform, combined with cost-efficient infrastructure providers like Hetzner, provided the perfect solution.
Challenge
At the heart of TextCortex’s platform is its ability to transform vast volumes of enterprise data into actionable insights. This requires processing terabytes of documents: extracting, indexing, and organizing information to power intelligent AI Agents.
As the company scales and new enterprise customers are onboarded, the load on TextCortex’s document processing pipeline grows exponentially. Each customer brings an entire corpus of documents, making infrastructure scalability a key factor in performance and customer satisfaction.
To support this, TextCortex needs cloud infrastructure that can:
- Ability to scale to handle demand spikes during onboarding
- Deliver low-latency access to document metadata
- Operate in a secure, compliant environment with no vendor lock-in
- Orchestrate complex workloads across multiple cloud providers
During their evaluation, Cloudfleet was selected as the most fitting platform to address these demands.
Solution
The collaboration between TextCortex and Cloudfleet began with a proof of concept to validate Cloudfleet’s capabilities. The initial focus was on migrating TextCortex’s CI/CD infrastructure to Cloudfleet-managed Kubernetes clusters running on cost-efficient infrastructure.
Since then, TextCortex has steadily expanded its use of Cloudfleet. When architecting new components, the team now builds on Cloudfleet Kubernetes Engine (CFKE) from the start. One such component is their document processing pipeline, which handles tasks such as document ingestion, metadata extraction, indexing, and real-time querying.
To deliver state-of-the-art knowledge base efficiency and performance, the pipeline combines proprietary technologies with open-source components like Apache Tika.
During customer onboarding, document volumes can spike significantly. By scaling the pipeline dynamically based on queue length and leveraging Cloudfleet’s ability to scale from zero to hundreds of nodes in minutes, TextCortex ensures that every customer receives a fast and reliable experience. Cloudfleet enables them to run these demanding workloads on cost-efficient infrastructure across multiple cloud providers.
Results
With Cloudfleet as their infrastructure backbone, TextCortex has dramatically improved the scalability and efficiency of their AI platform. During customer onboarding, the document processing pipeline now automatically scales to over 100 nodes within minutes, ensuring that performance remains consistent even under extreme data ingestion loads.
"The elasticity of the Cloudfleet platform was key. This dynamic scaling, driven by real-time queue metrics, has allowed TextCortex to deliver a smooth and responsive experience to every customer, regardless of size or complexity."
Onur Solmaz, VP of Engineering at TextCortexCloudfleet’s cost-aware orchestration has also had a measurable financial impact. By optimizing workloads across multiple cloud providers and scaling idle environments to zero, TextCortex has achieved over 40% infrastructure cost savings without compromising on performance or security. In parallel, improved workload parallelization and infrastructure responsiveness enabled a 5x increase in knowledge base indexing speed, all within the same cost envelope.
These improvements have made Cloudfleet a strategic part of TextCortex’s growth, enabling the company to serve more customers, process more data, and maintain a lean infrastructure footprint as it scales.
